October 24, 2005. Which of course is the day Hurricane Wilma came through South Florida with an unpredicted vengeance and devastated the hottest real estate market to hit the U.S. in years.
Do you remember what it had been like on October 23rd?
Thirty percent annual appreciation... droves of new buyers... multiple contracts... people lining up at 6 am to snatch up condo conversions on opening day.
I've been in real estate for 25 years and witnessed several real estate cycles from a seller's market to a buyer's market and back... but this was not a cycle... the market came to a screeching halt and has yet to even begin to recover... as you painfully know.
This letter is not for everyone. And it may not be for you.
